Ads Privacy & Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

Effective date: October 18, 2026

This page explains how Swarm Studios ("we", "us") and our advertising partners use information to show ads in our mobile games, and the choices you have if you live in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or Switzerland. It applies to our games on Android and iPhone/iPad, including Idle Kingdom Warpath, Project Outbreak and Project: Monster RPG TBD.

Who is responsible for your data

Swarm Studios is the data controller for the information collected through our games. You can contact us about privacy at any time at support@swarmstudios.ca.

Ads in our games

Our games are free to play and are supported by ads served through Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may act as independent controllers of the data they collect. You can learn how Google uses data from apps that show its ads at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and read the Google Privacy Policy.

Asking for your consent

When you first open one of our games in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we show a consent message provided through Google's User Messaging Platform. This message follows the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF). It lets you:

  • Agree to the use of cookies or other local storage and your personal data for personalised ads;
  • Refuse consent, or choose which purposes and which advertising partners you agree to;
  • See the full list of advertising partners who may process your data.

If you do not give consent, you may still see ads, but they will be non-personalised or limited ads. Non-personalised ads are based on context, such as the game you are playing and your approximate location, not on your past activity. Google may still use limited data, such as cookies or device identifiers, for things like frequency capping, fraud prevention and measuring ads, where the law allows it.

What information is used for ads

  • Device advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iPhone/iPad where you allow it);
  • IP address and approximate location derived from it;
  • Device information, such as model, operating system and language;
  • Information about the ads you see and tap, and how you interact with them;
  • Information about how you use the game, such as sessions and progress, where needed to show and measure ads.

We do not use precise location, contacts, photos or other sensitive information for advertising.

Why we use it and our legal bases

  • Personalised ads and storing information on your device: your consent.
  • Showing non-personalised ads, measuring ad performance, and preventing fraud and abuse: our legitimate interest in funding our free games and keeping them secure, or your consent where the law requires it.

How to change or withdraw your consent

You can change your choices at any time. Open the game's Settings menu and tap Privacy settings to show the consent message again. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and it does not affect processing that happened before you withdrew.

You can also limit ad tracking on your device:

  • Android: Settings › Privacy › Ads (or Settings › Google › Ads), then delete or reset your advertising ID.
  • iPhone/iPad: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, then turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track" or turn it off for our game.

You can manage Google's ad personalisation at My Ad Center.

Children

Our games are not directed at children under 16. If we learn that a player is under the age of digital consent in their country, we do not ask for advertising consent and only non-personalised or limited ads are shown.

International transfers

Swarm Studios is based in Canada, which the European Commission recognises as providing adequate protection for commercial personal data. Google and our advertising partners may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where they do, they rely on safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long data is kept

We keep advertising-related information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Google and our advertising partners keep data according to their own policies. Your consent choice is stored on your device until you change it or delete the game.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, UK GDPR and Swiss data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
  • Correct inaccurate data;
  • Have your data deleted;
  • Restrict or object to how we use it, including objecting to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • Receive your data in a portable format;
  • Withdraw consent at any time.

To use these rights, email support@swarmstudios.ca or use the Support form and choose "Data or account deletion". We will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this page

We may update this page when our games or advertising partners change. We will change the effective date above and, if the changes are significant, ask for your consent again in the game.
