US State Privacy Notice
Effective date: October 18, 2026
This notice is for residents of US states with consumer privacy laws, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia. It explains what personal information Swarm Studios ("we", "us") collects through our mobile games and this website, how we use and disclose it, and the rights you have under those laws.
Personal information we collect
- Identifiers: device advertising ID, IP address, player ID, and your email address if you contact us or sign up for launch news.
- Internet or device activity: device model, operating system, game version, how you play, and the ads you see and tap.
- Approximate location: general location derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise location.
- Information you give us: your name, email and the details you include in support, careers or business enquiries.
- Inferences: interests that our advertising partners may infer from your activity to choose relevant ads.
We do not collect sensitive personal information, such as precise location, government ID numbers, financial account details, health information or biometric data. In-app purchases are processed by Google Play or Apple; we do not receive your payment card details.
Where it comes from
Directly from you; automatically from your device when you play our games or visit this website; and from our service and advertising partners, such as Google AdMob.
How we use it
- To run our games, save progress and fix bugs and crashes;
- To answer support requests and other messages;
- To email you about game launches, if you signed up;
- To show ads, including targeted advertising where you have not opted out, and to measure how ads perform;
- To prevent fraud, cheating and abuse, and to keep our services secure;
- To meet our legal obligations.
Who we disclose it to
- Advertising partners, such as Google AdMob, which use identifiers, device and activity information to show and measure ads. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- Service providers that help us run our games and website, such as hosting, email and app store platforms. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Authorities or others when the law requires it or to protect our rights and players' safety.
"Selling", "sharing" and targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. However, allowing advertising partners to use your device identifiers and activity to show you targeted ads may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information, or "targeted advertising", under some state laws. In the past 12 months, we may have done this with identifiers, internet or device activity, approximate location and inferences.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
Opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising
You can opt out at any time:
- In the game: open Settings › Privacy settings and choose "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information".
- On your device: on Android, delete your advertising ID (Settings › Privacy › Ads); on iPhone/iPad, turn off tracking (Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking).
- By email: write to support@swarmstudios.ca with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share".
This website does not sell or share personal information. Where a global opt-out signal, such as Global Privacy Control, applies, we honour it.
Your rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we have about you, including the categories, sources, purposes and recipients;
- Get a copy of it in a portable format;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your information;
- Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising and profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects (we do not do this kind of profiling);
- Not be discriminated against for using these rights. Opting out of targeted ads will not change your access to our games; you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant.
How to make a request
Email support@swarmstudios.ca or use our Support form and choose "Data or account deletion" or "Other". Please tell us which state you live in and include your Player ID if you have one, so we can find your data. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend this by another 45 days when reasonably necessary; if we do, we will let you know why.
Authorized agents: you may ask someone to make a request for you. We may ask for proof that they are authorized and ask you to confirm your identity directly.
Appeals: if we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing support@swarmstudios.ca with the subject "Privacy appeal". We will respond within the time your state's law requires. If you disagree with the outcome, you may contact your state Attorney General.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above: support messages for up to two years after a request is resolved, launch signups until you unsubscribe or the launch campaign ends, and game and advertising data for as long as your account is active or as needed to meet legal obligations. Advertising partners keep data according to their own policies.
Children
Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
We review this notice at least once a year and will update the effective date when it changes. Questions? Email support@swarmstudios.ca. If you live in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, see our Ads Privacy & Consent page instead.
